Daniela Briceño

My name is Daniela Briceno and I'm a full time student at California State University, Long Beach. I was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua and came to California with my dad when I was 13 years old.  Growing up as an immigrant was very difficult because I was  bullied at school for having an accent. Ever since I was little, I used art as an escape from boredom or from my own reality and my ability to do so has helped me get through the years. As of right now I'm at a stage in my life where I'm not sure where I am headed or what I am doing, but I do know that I want to be able to help young kids that may be going through the same struggles as I once did and let them know that they can also find refuge in art.
